Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE) welcomed hundreds of participants for its Dubai Fitness Challenge Walk across nine holes of Earth, its championship golf course. The event was held in support of efforts to make Dubai the most active city in the world, an initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government.
Yousuf Kazim, CEO of Jumeirah Golf Estates, said: “The Dubai Fitness Challenge is an admirable initiative that has already inspired so many Dubai residents to make their fitness a priority. As a destination that encourages a healthy, active lifestyle all year, Jumeirah Golf Estates is proud to hose a Dubai Fitness Challenge event for our community to reinforce this. I am proud to have walked with a full audience of energetic and motivated individuals today who were willing to take up the challenge and set a great example for their friends and family.”
It should come as no surprise that T Spa at Grand Hotel Tremezzo is one of the most exclusive spas in the world, and for several reasons. Whether it’s the location in the 18th century Villa Emilia, spanning 1,000 square meters, or the design and decorative materials, from the teak floors to the handcrafted wood furnishings made by Italian artisans and the magnificent Hammam covered with white Lasa marble, to the spectacular panoramic views over Lake Como and the exclusive organic treatments.
The most beautiful feature of T Spa is the indoor infinity swimming pool which is a strip of azure, leading to the illusion that it’s connected directly to Lake Como. Meandering through the ground floor of the building, T Spa Infinity pool creates different experiences, depending on the requirement. The two baths offer five different types of Jacuzzi, some of which hidden away in the private grotto, such as beds with air bubbles, cascades to massage the back, water jets and oxygen bubbles from the mosaic bottom of the pool to massage the soles of the feet and finally the hydro massage in the circular lake-front Jacuzzi.
Fine art gallery, West Contemporary, will bring the talent of globally-recognised mixed-media British artist, Carne Griffiths to the Capital Club in a show entitled ‘FLIGHT’. A proportion of the works will immortalise elements of Dubai’s unfolding history by referencing its culture, geographical history, design and architecture – all becoming synonymous with Dubai.
‘FLIGHT’ will offer art collectors in Dubai a selection of new and previously unseen works by the artist for the first time. Carne is known widely in the British contemporary art scene for works he creates with unconventional mediums such as tea along with more traditional materials such as paint and ink. Artworks in this collection feature his signature organic and fluid forms, with lines that create visually ethereal portraits.
