Dubai, UAE – When the doors opened at the world’s largest Rolls Royce showroom in Abu Dhabi recently, it represented a milestone amid numerous accolades and achievements of the elite firm of architects, DIAR CONSULT, that created the facility.

Samir Daoud, Chairman and Principal Design Architect at DIAR CONSULT, a UAE based architectural, engineering and interior design firm, well-known for its creative design of Jumeirah Islands, Victory Heights and the Abu Dhabi Championship Golf Course Club House, says “pursuit of excellence” underscored the spirit behind the realization process of this project.

“We designed the showroom to reflect the luxury and finesse of Rolls-Royce and we understood Abu Dhabi Motors’ demand for excellence that is required when showcasing this iconic automobile,” according to Daoud.

The Rolls-Royce showroom was opened at a lavish ceremony on March 27. The event was attended by dignitaries and VIPs, including Torsten Müller-?tv?s, the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

In 2008 DIAR CONSULT was appointed lead designers of Abu Dhabi Motors’ multi-million-dirham investment in the redevelopment and expansion of their existing showrooms in Abu Dhabi.

The project is situated at the existing BMW Showroom facilities in Umm Al Nar at Maqta Bridge. The just-opened facility is one of three phases, the other two scheduled to be opened by end of this year. The overall project comprises 35,000-square metres of development area including showroom facilities, workshops, service reception, lifestyle centre including a museum, and distributor head offices.

The first phase consists of the Rolls Royce and Mini Cooper showrooms which are already completed and operational. In a statement praising the development on the night of the Rolls-Royce Showroom launch, Müller- ?tv?s said: “The Middle East is a very important region for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and we owe a lot of our recent and on-going success to our dealers.

“Abu Dhabi Motors’ immense investment in this stunning facility shows strong confidence in our brand and helps us maintain the pinnacle position of the market”.

Abu Dhabi Motors is recognized as one of the top five Rolls-Royce dealers in the world, as well as taking the lead position for their ultra-popular bespoke service.

This showroom will help cement the region’s position as a global hub for the high-end car market, according to auto industry analysts.

DIAR CONSULT was equally mindful of the requirements of the dealership and the customers when designing this facility.

“When planning the space, we looked at the specific needs of the dealership and their discerning customers,” said Daoud. “The Rolls-Royce display floor can exhibit up to five cars and attached to this is a dedicated workshop that offers personalised servicing facilities to its customers. The purchasing experience is unparalleled with a car display area, café and customers’ lounge area.”

This experience will be further enhanced when the additional phases, to house the BMW brand’s facilities, open at the end of the year.

Daoud says this project will command a place “among the unique showrooms of the world.”

On the spectacular design of the project, Daoud said: “We created a building with a sense of transparency and dynamism of the building facade through to its interiors, with the use of articulated skylights, canopies and sunscreens. This enriches the showrooms with natural brightness displaying the cars in the best possible light and mood.”

Three elevated circular towers anchor the three prominent corners of the building along the main streets, each showcasing cutting-edge latest models on rotating turntables.
