Following the success of the second edition of ‘Street Nights’, the street-culture event is back, taking over a new street in Dubai. The Walk at JBR will be animated by unique street food, street art, and musical performances for the delight of visitors and street culture enthusiasts. The event will take place, from Thursday April 30 to Saturday May 9, 2015 at X section of The Walk

During the ten-day event, local street artists will offer live painting, air-brush performances, and street musicians. DJs will spin their latest tracks, and creative home-grown food concepts will invade the street with tasty creations.

Yumtingz, Parkhouse, Ghaf Kitchen, Moti Roti, Panifico, Brooklyn Bros, Melt and Homebakery will enchant foodies with their original food trucks as they feature tasty new street food concepts. Visitors at The Walk at JBR will be able to grab a bite on-the-go while admiring live street art performances and grooving to the sound of urban beats.

Mohammed Bin Essa, Executive Director of Retail and Commercial at MASAT, the retail arm of DPG said: “The Walk at JBR is one of Dubai’s most iconic destinations and we strive to bring latest in urban entertainment to our residents and visitors. The Street Nights concept fits perfectly with The Walk’s vibe as well as the emerging street culture of Dubai.”

James De Valera, aka DJ Lobito, co-founder of Street Nights and founder of award-winning group Deep Crates Cartel, local leaders in supporting alternative music and street art, will be in charge of the music programing, and will feature some of the coolest new sounds coming out of Dubai’s underground DJs.

Local street artists such as Sya, Bonz, Melancholy, Enforce One, Defs, Void, Activ8r and Tarsila will present The Walk at JBR like never before, as it will be transformed into an open air street art gallery. Street culture and art enthusiasts will be amazed to see the artists bring walls and structures to life in full colour.
