As she comes to terms with her new abilities, Dominika meets a CIA agent who tries to convince her that he is the only person she can trust.<\/p>\n<p>Red Sparrow is directed by acclaimed film-maker Frances Lawrence who worked with Jennifer Lawrence in three of the four films in the Hunger Games series. Red Sparrow is based on the novel, under the same name, written by Jason Matthews a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative \u201cI fell in love with the book immediately,\u201d says Frances Lawrence. \u201cIt just felt really fresh in terms of spy stories, and I fell in love with the character of Dominika Egorova, and her personal journey and her personal story and her dilemma in the story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Starring alongside Jennifer Lawrence is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Joel_Edgerton\">Joel Edgerton<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matthias_Schoenaerts\">Matthias Schoenaerts<\/a>,\u00a0Charlotte Rampling,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mary-Louise_Parker\">Mary-Louise Parker<\/a>, and\u00a0Jeremy Irons.\u00a0 Speaking about the making of the film, Jennifer Lawrence admits she was in awe of Irons. \u201cI was so intimidated,\u201d she says. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s Jeremy Irons! He\u2019s actually the nicest person, and so much fun to work with but doing scenes with him is so powerful. Even when I watch them back now I can feel how I felt when I was doing them with him.
