{"id":11944,"date":"2018-06-18T11:52:10","date_gmt":"2018-06-18T07:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/?p=11944"},"modified":"2018-06-18T11:52:10","modified_gmt":"2018-06-18T07:52:10","slug":"oceans-8-releasing-this-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/oceans-8-releasing-this-thursday\/","title":{"rendered":"OCEAN&#8217;S 8: Releasing This Thursday!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter team up in the action adventure \u201cOcean\u2019s 8.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Five years, eight months, 12 days&#8230;and counting.\u00a0 That\u2019s how long Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock)\u2014just released from prison\u2014has been concocting the greatest heist of her storied career.<\/p>\n<p>She knows what it\u2019s going to take\u2014a team of the best in their field, starting with her former partner-in-crime Lou (Cate Blanchett).\u00a0 Together, they recruit a crew of specialists: jeweler Amita (Kaling); street con Constance (Awkwafina); expert fence Tammy (Paulson); hacker Nine Ball (Rihanna); and fashion designer Rose Weil (Bonham Carter).<\/p>\n<p>The target is $150 million in diamonds\u2014diamonds that will adorn the neck of world-famous actress Daphne Kluger (Hathaway), who will be center stage at the event of the year, The Met Gala.<\/p>\n<p>Their plan appears rock solid, but it will need to be flawless if the team is to get in and get away\u2014all in plain sight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOcean\u2019s 8\u201d also stars Richard Armitage as Claude Becker, Kluger\u2019s unwitting date at the Gala, and James Corden as John Frazier, an insurance investigator trying to put the pieces together.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Ross (\u201cSeabiscuit,\u201d \u201cThe Hunger Games,\u201d \u201cPleasantville\u201d) directed \u201cOcean\u2019s 8\u201d from a screenplay he co-wrote with Olivia Milch, original story by Ross.\u00a0 Steven Soderbergh and Susan Ekins produced the film.\u00a0 Michael Tadross, Diana Alvarez, Jesse Ehrman and Bruce Berman served as executive producers, with Milch co-producing.<\/p>\n<p>Ross\u2019s behind-the-scenes team included director of photography Eigil Bryld (\u201cIn Bruges\u201d), production designer Alex DiGerlando (\u201cBeasts of the Southern Wild\u201d), Oscar-nominated editor Juliette Welfling (\u201cThe Diving Bell and the Butterfly\u201d), costume designer Sarah Edwards (\u201cThe Secret Life of Walter Mitty\u201d), and composer Daniel Pemberton (\u201cSteve Jobs\u201d).\u00a0 \u201cOcean\u2019s 8\u201d is based on characters created by George Clayton Johnson &amp; Jack Golden Russell.<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Rahway Road production, \u201cOcean\u2019s 8.\u201d\u00a0 The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros.
