This year marks the 20th<\/sup> year as a holistic therapist for Melanie Jane, the UAE-based esoteric art practitioner and natural parfumier<\/em>. To celebrate the milestone, Melanie Jane is hosting a bouquet of events designed to provoke and indulge the senses.<\/p>\n

\u201cAromas and Alchemy\u201d is a series of three workshops designed to increase attendees\u2019 knowledge of aromatherapy. You\u2019ll leave the four and a half hour workshops with a more intimate understanding of essential oils, how they interact with each other – and with us – and the complex craft of blending.<\/p>\n

During the interactive sessions, to be held at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, you\u2019ll learn how to make naturally indulgent and effective personal care products like remedies, lotions, body mists and face oils. It\u2019s an aromatherapy class like no other with delicious offerings of a glass of bubbles and finger sandwiches.<\/p>\n

The fragrance connoisseur says: \u201cI\u2019ve had a lot of requests to host shorter aromatherapy workshops, so I have created a trilogy of classes. People can attend just one, two or all three and I warmly invite everyone to come and discover the amazing benefits of popular essentials oils and the art of blending, which really is a difficult craft to master. Participants will benefit from my two decades of experience and learn how to make their own bespoke aromatherapy products.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perfume has long been a passion for Melanie Jane too, and this season the UAE\u2019s most fragrant instructor will continue offering her highly successful \u201cPerfume and Prosecco\u201d sessions at exclusive locations in the UAE like the Ritz-Carlton and Burj Al Arab.<\/p>\n

Join Melanie and like-minded fragrant fans for her interactive perfume masterclasses with a twist \u2013 sparkling grapes and afternoon tea.<\/p>\n

Guests are invited to indulge their senses during the four and a half-hour class, where Melanie Jane will reveal a unique sensory journey, describing essential oils and perfume-making techniques.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited to now be hosting classes in Abu Dhabi after considerable demand from my followers. This workshop is the latest in my series of events designed to get people to not only discover more about the fascinating world of fragrance but also to create their very own, bespoke perfume to take home.\u201d said the scent expert. \u201cI have recently introduced various packages, so people have a choice about the size of the perfume they take home.\u201d<\/p>\n

These anniversary events are the latest in an on-going series of monthly \u2018Masterclasses with Melanie\u2019; experiential workshops that started life at the Dubai World Trade Club.<\/p>\n

Having examined 60 rare and exotic oils, participants will gain hands-on insight into what goes into making a perfume, and then have the chance to create a bespoke fragrance designed to enhance the mood, evoke a feeling or simply titillate the olfactory organs.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn these perfume workshops I have the opportunity to combine my passion for natural fragrances and desire for teaching new skills and bringing people together. Participants are captivated as they discover the secrets of perfumery and what actually goes into the making of a good fragrance, while I guide them through the creation of their own bespoke signature scent that matches their personality,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Melanie offers insider tips while revealing the art of the parfumier<\/em>; how to make a beautiful blend and then helps attendees create their very own exclusive eau de parfum<\/em> to take home.<\/p>\n

Melanie qualified as a holistic therapist in 1998, and recently studied at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. She is an associate of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
