The Color Run presented by Daman has teamed up with UAE charity, Friends of Cancer Patients to give love to unsung heroes, on the eve of this year\u2019s 2018 event, which is set to take place on Saturday 10th<\/sup> November 2018.<\/p>\n

The collaborative campaign, designed to champion those individuals who really make a difference, invites nominations from those looking to reward, or bring awareness to unrecognized heroes in their lives.<\/p>\n

In keeping with this year\u2019s Hero Tour theme, The Color Run, along with Friends of Cancer Patients are encouraging everyone and anyone to be their own kind of hero, by giving back to those who go above and beyond the norm, to make a real difference in society.<\/p>\n

Christian Moufarrej, Event Director for The Color Run presented by Daman said;<\/strong> \u201cEvery day, we are surrounded by people who help shape the city and those who live in it. There are heroes everywhere we look; from teachers to lifeguards, nurses and caregivers, and not forgetting the mums and dads, as well as the nannies, who help to raise the next generation of heroes. We simply want to reward and recognize these people for the powerful determination they demonstrate every single day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s collaboration with Friends of Cancer Patients has brought The Color Run even closer to a community of heroes in the form of cancer patients, survivors, volunteers, and medical practitioners who show the utmost compassion, perseverance and strength during periods of adversity. A portion of every registration to the event will be donated to FoCP, adding to the $5m The Color Run has already donated globally to charities to date.<\/p>\n

Dr Sawsan Al Madhi, Director General at Friends of Cancer Patients said; <\/strong>\u201cWe love to join forces with fun, positive community events especially those that give across such a positive and powerful message of health and wellbeing for all. At FoCP we celebrate cancer heroes every day so it\u2019s now time to celebrate yours.\u00a0 Tell us your story and help us raise awareness of these unsung heroes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

To enter, simply nominate your unsung hero on The Color Run social media channels including; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, @TheColorRunUAE by posting a picture of both of you together, stating a reason why they are your hero and using the following hashtag #TCRHero.\u00a0 Five winners will be drawn with each winning hero and nominator receiving a Deluxe Color Run Race Pack!<\/p>\n
