More than 100 members and guests attended the event.<\/p>\n<p>IHC CEO, Giuseppe Saba, gave an overview of the achievements of 2018, including the launch and replicas of the Humanitarian Logistics Databank, and the development of the Flash Studio Project.<\/p>\n<p>The day featured also HE\/Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Managing Director\u00a0of the International Institute for Tolerance (IIT), as a keynote guest speaker on the concept of tolerance and the national program of the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>Also among the speakers at the event was Mrs. Hind Alowais, Expo2020 Vice President for International Participants, who discussed the plans of Expo2020 and collaboration of IHC Community.<\/p>\n<p>Workshops on Expo2020, the Flash Studio, and IHC logistics and services \u2013 with the support of Dubai Customs \u2013 were conducted in the afternoon sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Recognition awards were also distributed to IHC members.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThe Most Remarkable Campaign\u201d : NRS International for their #PeaceDoves Initiative<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Most innovative projects for a humanitarian impact\u201d\n<ol>\n<li>Category Humanitarian Organisation:\n<ul>\n<li>Doctors Without Borders\/ M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res (MSF) for their Ebola Treatment Centre in the Democratic Republic of Congo<\/li>\n<li>Food Banking Regional Network for their model and programs to secure food resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Category Commercial Company: SocioLadder for their platform \u201cMissing Children\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Best Initiatives\u201d\n<ol>\n<li>Category Commercial Company: Alpinter Middle East for their stock of relief items and jerrycans production facility in the UAE<\/li>\n<li>Category Humanitarian Organisation:\n<ul>\n<li>Smile Train for their model of work and new speech app<\/li>\n<li>Positive Planet for their initiative to empower youth<\/li>\n<li>Operation Give &amp; Grow (OGG) for their practical care to shelter children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/ihc.ae\">ihc.ae<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The organizations and companies based in the International Humanitarian City (IHC) came together yesterday for the IHC annual members\u2019 global meeting.
