During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Meraas is joining forces with Al Jalila Children\u2019s Specialty Hospital, the first dedicated children\u2019s hospital in the UAE, for a campaign that will raise donations for the children of the UAE.<\/p>\n

Running throughout Ramadan, the #SmilesOfTomorrow campaign will see a range of interactive touchpoints and donation opportunities set up across City Walk, Al Seef and Last Exit Al Khawaneej, enabling visitors to directly donate to the campaign.<\/p>\n

Further, several #SmilesOfTomorrow photo booths will be set up at La Mer and The Beach, screening awareness-raising videos featuring Al Jalila Children\u2019s Speciality Hospital\u2019s courageous children. Visitors can record messages of support in the booths, before directly donating outside.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, because every child loves a toy, donation boxes will be placed across Meraas\u2019 destinations where new and unused toys can be dropped off, which will then be delivered to the children of Al Jalila Children Specialty Hospital.<\/p>\n

As for the children at the heart of this campaign, they have contributed in the form of creative and colourful Ramadan-themed postcards that they designed and drew by hand. The postcards will be available for sale across participating Meraas outlets, with all proceeds going to Al Jalila Children\u2019s Hospital. Visitors to participating Meraas destinations can also opt to add a point-of-sale donation to their bills \u2013 the proceeds of which are also sent to the children\u2019s hospital.<\/p>\n

Al Jalila Children\u2019s Specialty Hospital was inaugurated in November 2016 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The state-of-the-art medical facility has made a significant contribution to improving the lives of thousands of children dealing with debilitating illnesses that affect their quality of life. The hospital offers paediatric care that is unparalleled in the region and continues to do vital work in the field of research and medical support.<\/p>\n
