Created by acclaimed New Zealand artist Gary Yong, ‘Sand in the Waves’\u00a0is a unique piece of public art that uses sand bags to create the\u00a0shape of a wave. Unveiled on the occasion of UAE Innovation Week, the\u00a0art installation seeks to create an innovative playground on the beach<\/div>\n
that enhances the atmosphere of happiness and playfulness for children<\/div>\n
and families.<\/div>\n

“Sand in the Waves”\u2122 is a tribute to the relationship between the sand\u00a0and the ocean. Sand is a symbol of time and infinite possibility,\u00a0impossible to grasp in any permanent way; yet it carries past memories\u00a0and creates new experiences.<\/div>\n

Gary Yong, who also goes by the moniker of Enforce One, is Founder and\u00a0Director of Cut Collective, an art collective that is well known for\u00a0its innovative and unconventional public and art. Some of Yonga’s\u00a0installations have been displayed in prominent locations in Dubai\u00a0including Box Park.<\/div>\n
