Alpha Group of Companies Chairman\/CEO Mr. Sheikh Mohamed Bayorh and\u00a0senior executives from leading prominent companies in UAE welcomed the\u00a0Nigerian Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Honorable Dr. Emmanuel\u00a0Kachikwu, and senior executives from the Nigerian National Petroleum\u00a0Company (NNPC) this week at the Burj Al Arab. The Honorable Dr.<\/div>\n
Emmanuel Kachikwu, Minister of State Petroleum Resources of Nigeria\u00a0and senior NNPC officials met with a diverse group of government\u00a0officials and leading energy companies to discuss potential investment\u00a0opportunities in Nigeria. Delegation from UAE included HE Suhail Al\u00a0Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Chairman of IPIC; senior executives\u00a0from ENOC and Al Ghurair Group. In addition, HE Dr. Kachikwu met with\u00a0other international global energy companies including China National\u00a0Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and DSSI.<\/div>\n

We were extremely honored to organize and host His Excellency Dr.\u00a0Kachikwu’s inaugural trip to UAE as the Minister of State Petroleum\u00a0Resources after being sworn-in earlier this month to meet with our\u00a0greatly for his keen vision and leadership in transforming the oil and<\/span><\/div>\n
gas sector in Nigeria and increasing international investor\u2122s\u00a0confidence in exploring opportunities in working with the Nigerian\u00a0National Petroleum Corporation said Sheikh Mohamed Bayorh.<\/div>\n

We believe there are tremendous opportunities in the Nigerian oil and\u00a0gas sector and look forward to doing business with the new\u00a0administration, said Mr. Wang Baoji- President CNPC Middle East and\u00a0Africa.<\/div>\n

Also the delegation from NNPC had an opportunity to hear alternative\u00a0financing proposals for their expansion plans by various leading\u00a0finance houses in UAE [including ME-A and Euro American. We have a\u00a0plan called 20 Fixes\u2122 to increase NNPC’s profitability and one of\u00a0them is to increase our refining capacity to reduce foreign imports,\u00a0said HE Dr. Kachikwu in response to a question about Nigerian oil\u00a0sector priorities. \u00a0We believe we can share our refinery operating<\/div>\n
experience with NNPC; we were able to increase both yield and capacity<\/div>\n
in a very short period with our Libyan refinery joint venture\u00a0operation with Lybia’s national oil company, added Sultan Al Ghurair,\u00a0CEO for Al Ghurair Energy<\/div>\n
