{"id":25768,"date":"2019-12-11T11:49:46","date_gmt":"2019-12-11T07:49:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/?p=25768"},"modified":"2019-12-11T11:49:46","modified_gmt":"2019-12-11T07:49:46","slug":"dubais-coca-cola-arena-wins-prestigious-international-award-for-its-staggering-active-lit-facade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/dubais-coca-cola-arena-wins-prestigious-international-award-for-its-staggering-active-lit-facade\/","title":{"rendered":"Dubai&#8217;s Coca-Cola Arena Wins Prestigious International Award For Its Staggering Active-Lit Fa\u00e7ade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Coca-Cola Arena has been awarded the Audiovisual Fan Experience Award at the Stadium Business Design &amp; Development Awards in London for its impressive 4,600 LED fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<p>The recognition comes less than 6 months after the arena&#8217;s opening in June 2016 when comedian Russell Peters and global soft-rockers, Maroon 5 played gigs in the same week.<\/p>\n<p>Coca-Cola Arena is owned by Meraas, a Dubai-based holding company and operated by ASM Global,\u00a0the world&#8217;s leading venue management and services company.\u00a0The arena is the Middle East&#8217;s first ever indoor multipurpose arena and has changed the landscape for live entertainment in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The active-lit fa\u00e7ade that wraps the entire exterior of Coca-Cola Arena is made of 4,600 LED&#8217;s and can change colour or pattern at the touch of a button to reflect an event, celebration or commemorative occasion. Normally lit red, to recognize the venue&#8217;s name, Coca-Cola Arena is a beacon of live entertainment in its City Walk by Meraas location.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of Coca-Cola Arena, Guy Ngata said: &#8220;Coca-Cola&#8217;s Arena&#8217;s fa\u00e7ade is a tremendous culmination of a lot of people&#8217;s vision, design and implementation and provides an experience that places Coca-Cola Arena on the map for live entertainment venues.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dubai has many eye catching buildings and Coca-Cola Arena&#8217;s fa\u00e7ade lighting system certainly places the venue in that same category.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This most recent accolade adds to Coca-Cola Arena&#8217;s recognition award at the first ever WOW Middle East Awards in September. The first sold-out show at Coca-Cola Arena, Maroon 5, also recently saw the promotor, Done Events winning &#8220;Best Concert&#8221; at the What&#8217;s On Dubai Awards.<\/p>\n<p>With a capacity of 17,000 but fully flexible to meet the demands of any scale event taking place, Coca-Cola Arena has hosted a wide variety of shows and events in its short history.
