Holi, the Indian festival of colours and flavours, has arrived onboard Emirates, and the airline\u2019s chefs have lined up festive treats and memorable experiences.<\/p>\n

On 9 and 10 March, Emirates\u2019 customers travelling to and from seven destinations in India \u2013 Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai \u2013 will enjoy the much-loved Indian\u00a0mithai\u00a0<\/em>(sweet)\u00a0Kesar Gujiya\u00a0<\/em>with their main meal. The deep-fried dumpling, stuffed with\u00a0khoya\u00a0<\/em>(solidified milk) and dried fruits, will be served in a specially designed box reminiscent of the colourful and playful festival of\u00a0Holi<\/a>. First and Business Class passengers will be warmly welcomed at their seats with cold\u00a0Thandai\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 the festive drink prepared from milk and nuts, and flavoured with saffron and rose petals.<\/p>\n

Besides the onboard treats, the airline will feature a special festive spread in the Emirates Lounge at Delhi\u2019s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Customers can savour\u00a0Kesar Gujiya\u00a0<\/em>and a snack relished by millions of Indians:\u00a0Dahi Bhalle<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 fried lentil balls dipped in sweetened curd, topped with tamarind and green chutneys, pomegranate seeds and savoury garnishes.<\/p>\n

To truly get into the quintessentially high\u00a0Holi Hai!\u00a0<\/em>spirit, Emirates\u2019 customers can immerse themselves in the wide selection of popular Bollywood movies, including the latest blockbusters and classics, and music on ice \u2013 the airline\u2019s award-winning inflight entertainment system with over 4,500 channels. They can also take advantage of up to 20MB of complimentary Wi-Fi to stay connected with friends and family during the flight.<\/p>\n
