Arabian Adventures, the UAE\u2019s leading destination management company, is bringing the first, Dubai-based version of Questo\u2019s award-winning city games and tours to the region.<\/p>\n
Bucharest-based Questo has been transforming cities around the world into exploration games via technology with its ground-breaking mobile app since 2017, which can already take users on journeys through mission-like tours in more than 80 cities across Europe, the US and Asia. Its first \u2018quest\u2019 in the Middle East is now launching in Dubai in partnership with the destination experts at Arabian Adventures.<\/p>\n
Each Questo route is unique,\u00a0based on the history of its destination. In Dubai, \u2018Historical Dubai<\/b>\u2019 \u2013 now available to download via the Questo app \u2013 is its first game-based, self-guided walking tour to launch in the city, encouraging users to follow clues and solve puzzles to retrace the steps of the fishermen, pearl-drivers, weavers and tradesmen that once came to trade at Dubai Creek.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith domestic tourism proving increasingly popular at this time, this new outdoor walking tour offers UAE residents and tourists the chance to explore more and a different element of Dubai. Offering an alternative to joining a group tour, yet still featuring a wealth of information, its self-guided, on-demand nature allows users to observe social distancing whilst providing the flexibility to start the tour on their own schedule, at their own pace.\u201d<\/p>\n
Combining gaming with city sightseeing, Questo\u2019s pioneering offerings teleport users inside a fictional story where they are the main character, giving hints in order to solve riddles and move around a city whilst finding out its hidden stories. In Dubai, the Historical Dubai quest takes users on a journey through the Al Fahidi Historical District, its charming eateries and bustling souks, on to a traditional abra ride across the Dubai Creek and beyond.<\/p>\n

The new walking tour has been created for UAE residents and tourists following the popularity of guided sightseeing runs Arabian Adventures offered for a limited-time in partnership with Questo and sports brand ASICS, as part of the 2020 Dubai Fitness Challenge.<\/p>\n
