Under the theme \u2018Women in Retail & Luxury Forum\u2019, the Dubai Business Women Council, DBWC, recently concluded its first virtual forum for 2020 amid remarkable participation of high-profile speakers representing the most eminent local and global companies of the retail industry.<\/p>\n
Organized by the DBWC in partnership with A&E Magazine, the event touched on the current challenges that women are facing in the retail industry.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager, DBWC, and moderated by Lara Mansour Founder & Editor in chief of\u00a0 Adam & Eve Magazine, the forum witnessed the participation of Georges Kern, Breitling CEO, Sabina Belli,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pomellato Group CEO, Riccardo Sciutto, Sergio Rossi\u00a0 CEO, and IngieChalhoub, CEO and Managing Director of Etoile Group and Creative Director of INGIE Paris.<\/p>\n
The speakers addressed some of the issues and challenges that women are facing in the retail and luxury sector, while affirming their confidence in women\u2019s capabilities of handling and managing businesses in the respective industries.<\/p>\n
When asked for her feedback, HE Dr. Raja Al Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women Council said: \u201cThis virtual forum is one of the most prominent events of the Council this year, as it has managed to bring together local and international leaders of this vital industry to help women adopt best international practices in the retail and luxury sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reaffirming the DBWC\u2019s commitment to supporting, empowering, and strengthening women\u2019s competitiveness in the UAE market, Nadine Halabi commended the Emirati experience and the professional climate of the local market that continuously paves the way for women\u2019s growth and development, regardless of their nationalities or experiences.<\/p>\n
The DBWC will be organizing and hosting three other online forums as part of DBWC Forums 2021. These platforms will discuss the challenges that women are facing in Healthcare, Tech, and Finance & Investment sectors while also shedding the light on the best practices that are in place to tackle these obstacles.<\/p>\n
