The aircraft departed Dubai International (DXB) at 09:44 and arrived in Tirana International Airport (TIA) at 13:46 local time. The flight was welcomed on arrival by a ceremonial water cannon salute and representatives from the airport and Albanian government officials.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

flydubai will serve this route with twice weekly flights, on Thursdays and Sundays. With the introduction of the new service, flydubai is the first airline to provide\u00a0direct airlinks from the United Arab Emirates to Albania.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the start of flights, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said: \u201cwe are pleased to be the first UAE-based airline to operate direct flights between Dubai and Tirana. We hope these direct airlinks support trade and tourism between the two countries in the future as travel restrictions begin to ease.\u00a0 We look forward to seeing demand grow on this route and to increasing the frequency of our flights.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, the Chief Operation Officer of Tirana International Airport Mr. Volker Wendefeuer stated: \u201cwe have worked intensively for this route and we are happy to connect two countries with great potential for growth in the economic and tourism sectors. I wish flydubai a great beginning here and a lot of success for all the parties that have been involved in completing this grand project.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emirates will codeshare on this route offering travellers more seamless connections through Dubai\u2019s international aviation hub to 155 destinations between both the Emirates and flydubai networks including Australia, China, Indian Ocean, Japan and South Asia.<\/p>\n

flydubai\u2019s\u00a0passenger experience has been redesigned to enable travel in a safe environment that\u00a0minimises\u00a0crew and passenger contact and offers passengers confidence to travel at every step of their journey. The airline has recently introduced an extended multi-risk travel insurance that includes COVID-19 cover to offer passengers greater peace of mind when travelling.<\/p>\n

Passengers are required to make sure that they are up to date with the regulations from the\u00a0IATA Travel Centre<\/a>\u00a0for their whole journey\u00a0and follow the guidance issued by the authorities and the airline.<\/p>\n

Flights from\u00a0Terminal 3,\u00a0Dubai International (DXB) to\u00a0Tirana\u00a0International Airport (TIA) will operate on\u00a0Thursdays and Sundays and the service commences from\u00a028\u00a0March.<\/p>\n

Return Business Class fares from DXB to TIA start from AED 8,000 and Economy Class fares start from AED 2,000.<\/p>\n

Return Business Class fares from TIA to DXB start from EUR 1,800 and Economy Class fares start from EUR 420.<\/p>\n
