Intersect by Lexus Dubai (IBL), renowned restaurant located in the heart of DIFC and part of Al-Futtaim Automotive, has launched the \u2018Young Chef Competition\u2019 by IBL to support young talented chefs across Dubai. Local talent from SCAFA (School of Culinary and Finishing Arts Dubai), were whittled down to three young chef\u2019s applications who will compete against one another by creating their own unique dishes that reflect their personality, style, and skillset. The winner will have a chance to have their signature three course menu available at the DIFC\u2019s restaurant for a full month for dining guests.<\/p>\n

The participants, Chef Hayat Mussa Yilma, Chef Munir Mansab and Chef Hala Bassar will be curating and creating a special menu for an esteemed panel of judges that include Capucine Leblon, acting Restaurant Manager at Intersect by Lexus Dubai, Samantha Wood award-winning restaurant reviewer, Pang Long Chin, Head Chef of COYA Abu Dhabi, Mathieu Balbino, Head Chef of Pierre Bistro & Bar by Pierre Gagnaire, Chef Ravikanth Avadula, Head Chef of LPM Abu Dhabi, Alex Augusti of @justfoodxb and Samina Merchant, Filmfare Social M Award Winner 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are absolutely delighted to launch this competition that supports the local talent and empowers the new generations\u2019 involvement in the F&B industry. We can\u2019t wait to go through this experience with these undiscovered chefs and look forward to all the delectable cuisine that will be created as part of the competition for our customers to enjoy,\u201d said Capucine Leblon, acting Restaurant Manager at Intersect by Lexus Dubai.<\/p>\n

Each participant will need to follow the competition conditions such as each dish will need to contain up to five components and each dish will integrate a star ingredient. All three courses will be judged in six criteria considering taste, presentation, creativity, techniques, inspiration and overall achievement against all requirements, with five points up for grabs in each category.<\/p>\n

The winners of the competition will be announced on 29th October. All filmed episodes of the competition will be aired through IGTV on the @intersectbylexusdubai Instagram profile, with the episodes landing on 15th, 22nd and 29th October.<\/p>\n
