Intersect by Lexus Dubai (IBL), renowned restaurant located in the heart of DIFCand part of Al-Futtaim Automotive, has announced the winner of its \u2018Young Chef Competition\u2019launchedby IBL to support young talented chefs across Dubai. Local talent from SCAFA (School of Culinary and Finishing Arts Dubai), were whittled down to three young chef\u2019s applications who competed against one another by creating their own unique dishes that reflect their personality, style, and skillset. The winner Chef Hayat Mussawill have her signature three course menu available at the DIFC restaurant for a full month for dining guests on the Business Lunch menu.<\/p>\n

The three finalists, Chef Hayat MussaYilma, Chef Munir Mansab and Chef Hala Bassarcurated a special menu for an esteemed panel of judges that includeCapucine Leblon, acting Restaurant Manager at Intersect by Lexus Dubai, Samantha Woodaward-winning restaurant reviewer, Pang Long Chin, Head Chef of COYA Abu Dhabi, Mathieu Balbino, Head Chef of Pierre Bistro & Bar by Pierre Gagnaire, Chef RavikanthAvadula, Head Chef of LPM Abu Dhabi, Alex Augusti of @justfoodxb and Samina Merchant, Filmfare Social M Award Winner 2021. Hyatt impressed the judges with her impeccably curated menu consisting of a starter of Artichoke Tart, a main of Lamb Chops and a dessert of Deconstructed Lemon Tart.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were absolutely delighted to launch this competition that supports the local talent and empowers the new generations\u2019 involvement in the F&B industry.We were blown away by the levels of culinary talent we saw but ultimately Chef Hayat\u2019s culinary skills and creativity on her menu shone through. Her dishes were full of flavours with a well-thought-out presentation, and we must commend her for taking on the challenge of creating puff pastry from scratch which displays confidence and culinary maturity.
