{"id":46145,"date":"2021-12-30T11:06:19","date_gmt":"2021-12-30T07:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/?p=46145"},"modified":"2021-12-30T11:06:19","modified_gmt":"2021-12-30T07:06:19","slug":"tourism-malaysia-promotes-ecotourism-at-expo-2020-dubai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/tourism-malaysia-promotes-ecotourism-at-expo-2020-dubai\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourism Malaysia Promotes Ecotourism At Expo 2020 Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) through its agency Tourism Malaysia is taking over the Malaysia Pavilion at\u00a0<strong>Expo 2020 Dubai, United Arab Emirates(UAE)<\/strong>between 26<sup>th<\/sup> December 2021 until 31<sup>st<\/sup>December 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Promoting Malaysia as the next <strong>Top of the Mind Ecotourism Destination in the World<\/strong>, the Ecotourism Week at the Malaysia Pavilion takes the call from Malaysia\u2019s National Tourism Policy 2020-2030 which highlights the practice of sustainable and responsible tourism.Malaysia is joined by 16 organisations, consisting of five (5)state tourism boards, three (3) associations, one (1) hotel chain, one (1) product owner, and six (6) tour operators.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout Tourism Malaysia\u2019s Ecotourism Week, participants get to learn more about different perspectives of ecotourism in Malaysia by Malaysia\u2019s renowned speakers at the <strong>Expert Talk<\/strong> series, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mr Andrew Sebastian \u2013 Ecotourism&amp; Conservation Society Malaysia<\/li>\n<li>Mr Syed Abd Rahman Syed Hassan \u2013 Diveheart Malaysia<\/li>\n<li>Prof Anthony Wong Kim Hooi \u2013 Sustainability &amp;Ecotourism Expert<\/li>\n<li>Mr Eric Sinnaya \u2013 Malaysia Nature Society<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Honourable Minister Dato\u2019 Sri Hajah Nancy Shukrihas graced the occasion today and officiated the launch of the Malaysian classic traditional trishaw, or locally known as <em>beca,<\/em> as well as several Malaysia packages highlighting new ecotourism products in various destinations in Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>As part of her first Tourism Sales Mission to the Middle East, Dato\u2019 Sri Nancy will also attend a networking dinner with members of the travel trade and media in UAE on 30 December 2021. The mission aims to reinstate and enhance the commitment to establishing good tourism cooperation, engaging future collaborations, and cooperation in the tourism industry.<\/p>\n<p>The Malaysian Government launched its first International Travel Bubble by reopening Langkawi Island to fully-vaccinated international tourists beginning last 15<sup>th<\/sup> November, with no quarantine requirements. Following that, Malaysia continued with reopening its land and air borders for Singaporean citizens through a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) Arrangement starting 29<sup>th<\/sup> November.
