{"id":466,"date":"2009-04-08T12:21:09","date_gmt":"2009-04-08T08:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dxb.com\/?p=466"},"modified":"2009-04-08T12:21:09","modified_gmt":"2009-04-08T08:21:09","slug":"italys-mountain-region-hit-by-earth-quake-250-deaths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/italys-mountain-region-hit-by-earth-quake-250-deaths\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy&#8217;s Mountain region hit by Earth Quake 250 Deaths"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Italy&#8217;s mountain region The Abruzzo area has been hit with a heavy earthquake which has take so fat 250 lives and more can be expected as many people are reported missing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>n the ancient mountain-top village of Fossa, surrounded by the soaring snow-capped peaks of the Appenine mountains, the aftershocks of Monday&#8217;s earthquake are still being felt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fossa was badly hit when the quake first struck but some of the houses that remained standing are far from secure.<\/p>\n<p>Just before I arrived in the village &#8211; home to about 500 or so people &#8211; a large aftershock rocked the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>Four officials had a narrow escape as the building they were inspecting at the time started to collapse.
