Gate Avenue at DIFC, one of Dubai\u2019s leading urban destinations for retail and entertainment focusing on promoting culture and community, in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) is celebrating jazz by bringing together renowned international musicians at Jazz Avenue every Friday and Saturday from 4 February to 5 March, 2022.<\/p>\n

Kicking off this exciting event is\u00a0Sylvia Howard<\/strong>, described as the brightest modern jazz singer,who will be sharing her love of music with highlights of her well-known tunes on 4-5 February; followed by the talented\u00a0Faby M\u00e9dina<\/strong>who will feature her first album \u2018Following Love\u2019 taking listeners through a journey of swing, be-bop and pop with a touch of soul in her voice on 11-12 February.<\/p>\n

Music enthusiasts can enjoy the world of blues, soul, funk and gospel,with the famous Mister Melvin <\/strong>whose talent allowed him to share the stage with renowned artists such as Michele Hendricks (jazz) and Derek Martin (soul)to name a few, will be performing on 18-19 February.<\/p>\n

Bringing the jazz spirit of originality, personality and meaningful expressiveness in music to life, the self-taught Turkish artist, Sibel K\u00f6se<\/strong>, will perform on 25-26 February. She has emerged as one of Turkey\u2019s top female jazz vocalists who built her experience singing alongside major jazz masters and was awarded the first prize in the International Competition of Jazz Vocalists\u2019 in Zamosc (Poland) in 1992. Today, Sibel contributes to the growth of the jazz scene through her \u2018Jazz Vocal Workshops\u2019 in Istanbul.<\/p>\n

Alvon Johanson<\/strong>, the Ambassador of the Blues and 2015 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Empress Theatre will close this year\u2019s event with a performance on 4-5 March.<\/p>\n
