Global Village, the UAE and wider region’s leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, has announced the winners of the 50 Years of Togetherness photo contest, which was launched in partnership with Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA), to mark the UAE Golden Jubilee.<\/p>\n

The winners were recognized at an awards ceremony at the Main Stage of Global Village on Friday, January 28th in the presence of His Excellency Ali Bin Thalith Al Humairi, Secretary General, HIPA and Bader Anwahi, CEO, Global Village.<\/p>\n

As a world-renowned photography platform, HIPA, was established by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum to encourage and support art, culture and innovation in the UAE and beyond. Global Village partnered with the prestigious entity to launch the50 Years of Togetherness contest, and create a collection of photographs celebrating inclusivity and exploring shared identities and values through the lens of individuals with a unique vision of cultural diversity.<\/p>\n

Bader Anwahi, Chief Executive Officer at Global Village said: \u201cIt was an honour to collaborate with the\u00a0prestigious\u00a0Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA)\u00a0to celebrate the UAE\u2019s Golden Jubilee milestone. We congratulate the winners and thank them for sharing creative and emotionally moving images capturing the theme of inclusivity and tolerance which makes our Nation great.\u201d<\/p>\n

More than 2900 professional and amateur photographers signed up for the challenge to push their creative boundaries by capturing spectacular and emotional moments across Global Village.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, H.E. Ali Bin Thalith said: \u201cWe at the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, are delighted to have collaborated with Global Village in this distinctive photography competition reflecting the coexistence and tolerance between multiple cultures at one venue. Photography is a reliable reflection of reality, and the best photographers are the best storytellers. We congratulate the winners for presenting outstanding photographs conveying the feeling of togetherness, which Global Village is known for and we wish them and all the participants every success.\u201d<\/p>\n

The photo award carried a cash prize of AED 50,000 and a gold trophy for 1st Prize winnerImadeddinAlaeddin.The 2nd Prize winner Akhil Menon received AED 26,000 and a silver trophy, while the 3rd Prize winner\u00a0Zulfikhar Ahmed,received AED 26,000 and a glass trophy.<\/p>\n
