The largest airline in the world offers more than 4,500 channels of entertainment on\u00a0ice\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>(Information Communication Entertainment), its multi award-winning inflight entertainment system where passengers can watch the latest movies and TV series, listen to music and podcasts, follow their flight\u2019s progress and see views from the aircraft\u2019s external cameras; watch live news and sport, and stay connected through Wi-Fi.*<\/p>\n

Emirates continually updates its inflight content, adding hundreds of movies, TV shows, podcasts and music channels each month to its extensive entertainment library on\u00a0ice<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Top movies in 2021 on\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>ice<\/u><\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n

The most viewed movie on Emirates flights last year stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson and features Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.\u00a0Tenet\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>follows a secret agent who learns to manipulate the\u00a0flow of time<\/a>\u00a0to prevent an attack from the future that threatens to annihilate the present world.<\/p>\n

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence\u2019s action and comedy\u00a0Bad Boys for Life<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Hitman\u2019s Wife\u2019s Bodyguard<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0with Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek were also among the top most-watched movies on a list that trended towards action, comedy and thriller movies.\u00a0<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n

World cinema is also very popular on\u00a0ice<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0and top picks in 2021 included French drama\u00a0Who You Think I Am<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0<\/strong>starring Juliette Binoche and the Oscar-winning film from Denmark\u00a0Another Round<\/strong><\/i>.<\/p>\n

Family favourites<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Across all cabin classes, family movies were also hugely popular and the top performing films in this genre in 2021 included\u00a0Cruella,\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>a big hit on board starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson and\u00a0Mulan,<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0the story of a young Chinese maiden who disguises herself as a male warrior to save her father.<\/p>\n

Animated films\u00a0Luca\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>and\u00a0Soul\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>were also hugely popular, as was\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>the new\u00a0Wizarding World\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>collection on\u00a0ice<\/strong><\/i>, where adults and children alike enjoyed watching the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.<\/p>\n

There are more than 1,500 movies from multiple genres available in up to 45 languages for passengers in First, Business and Economy Class on\u00a0ice.\u00a0<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n

The most popular TV in the sky<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Emirates\u2019 2021 launch of TV series from HBO Max proved very popular with customers.\u00a0Friends: The Reunion<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0<\/strong>which was exclusively on board Emirates in the region, was among the most watched TV programmes. Other top TV selections included the award-winning drama series,\u00a0Mare of Easttown<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0starring Kate Winslet, and\u00a0The Flight Attendant<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>a comedy, drama, mystery and thriller all-in-one, starring Kaley Cuoco. The HBO Max content on\u00a0ice<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0continues to delight passengers in 2022, with the addition of all three seasons of the hit series\u00a0Succession<\/strong><\/i>.<\/p>\n

Unmissable live sports<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n
