The office will assist Mexican companies that are keen to enter the Dubai market and leverage the emirate as a strategic gateway to expand their reach to markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing participants during the ceremony, H.E. Ahmed Almenhali, UAE Ambassador to Mexico, described the opening of Dubai International Chamber\u2019s Mexico office as a key factor that will boost trade and investment between the UAE and Mexico and align the strategic ambitions of both countries to further diversify their economies and drive sustainable growth in the post-Covid era and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the UAE\u2019s embassy in Mexico has taken several steps to develop bilateral ties in recent years such as introducing a visa waiver for citizens traveling between the two countries, launching direct flights, signing of strategic partnership agreements and facilitating Mexico\u2019s participation in the World Logistics Passport &#8211; all important developments that have expanded bilateral economic cooperation and removed trade barriers.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, H.E. Hamad Buamim, President &amp; CEO of Dubai Chambers said: \u201cWe are committed to exploring business potential in promising countries that provide opportunities for growth and expansion for Dubai\u2019s business community. Our presence in Mexico will further strengthen an already robust commercial relationship between Dubai and Mexico and identify and capitalise on new trade opportunities and investments in key sectors such as agribusiness, industry, automotive, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, digital economy, fintech, and tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur team on the ground will focus efforts on building strong relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders and supporting Mexican companies that are keen to enter the Dubai market and expand internationally into the Middle East, Africa, and Asia markets through the emirate,\u201d H.E.Buamim explained, describing Mexico as a \u201ctop target market\u201d offering tremendous business potential that will open new doors for companies in Dubai that are keen to expand their footprint in Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>H.E. Buamim added that the \u201cstrategic move\u201d falls in line with Dubai International Chamber\u2019s new three-year strategy, which aims to strengthen Dubai&#8217;s position as a global trade hub, attract multinational companies to the emirate and support local companies with international expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The new Dubai International Chamber strategy aims to attract 50 multinational companies to Dubai within three years, supports the external expansion of 100 companies from Dubai to priority foreign markets within two years with the aim of improving the business environment in Dubai and making it conducive to business growth with a focus on multinational companies.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy supports the five-year plan announced by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to boost Dubai\u2019s non-oil foreign trade to AED 2 trillion and aims to elevate Dubai\u2019s position in the global arena and expand the emirate\u2019s trade partnerships with promising markets around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony featured an informative presentation on Dubai\u2019s economy and business environment, key growth sectors and competitive advantages such as world-class logistics facilities, strategic geographic location, attractive free zones, 100% foreign ownership, long term residency visas for entrepreneurs, prominent business leaders and specialised talent.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico is Dubai\u2019s second largest trading partner within Latin America and bilateral non-oil trade exceeded AED 4.44 billion in 2021.Mexican exports to the emirate account for the largest share of the trade volume, which is dominated by commodities, passenger vehicles, multimedia devices, cargo vehicles, and avocados.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-49984\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1-732x488.jpg 732w, https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1-1140x760.jpg 1140w, https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Image-3-1.jpg 1509w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dubai International Chamber, one of three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has announced the opening of its new representative office in Mexico City as part of efforts to strengthen the Chamber\u2019s presence in Latin America and explore new avenues of bilateral economic cooperation.
