Dubai, 16 Dec 2009 (WAM) – LUXGEN, Taiwan’s first automobile brand is making its global debut at the Dubai <\/a>International Motor Show, taking place 16 – 20 December 2009 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. On display is the full line-up of 4 unique LUXGEN vehicles scheduled to become available in the GCC from Q4 2010. These LUXGEN vehicles <\/a>combine luxury, style, state of the art technology and forward thinking engineering philosophy.<\/p>\n

LUXGEN vehicles are engineered to ‘Think Ahead’ for their drivers. Armed with advanced technology designed by Taiwan’s global smart phone leader HTC, LUXGEN vehicles are equipped with a suite of advanced features to preempt road conditions and potential hazards. All LUXGEN vehicles feature a state of the art onboard computer system, dubbed the ‘Think+’, which, for the first time ever, combines HTC smart technology <\/a>and Windows CE Automotive interface. ‘Think+’ boasts six main attractive features, including video and audio entertainment, telecommunication, GPS navigation, safety alerts, owner exclusive applications and system settings. Additionally, the vehicles also feature: Eagle View+ (a 360 degree surround imaging system), Night Vision+ (light-enhancing forward-looking camera system), Side View+ (Blind spot Monitoring System nod LDWS+ (Lane Departure Warning System).<\/p>\n

Said Mr. Peter Chou, CEO of HTC: “HTC is proud to partner with LUXGEN to create a new generation of intelligent vehicles. We have worked with LUXGEN to develop a sophisticated Think+ system designed to ‘think ahead’ of the drivers to achieve a new level of road safety.” The inaugural LUXGEN fleet consists of four vehicles, including the world’s first 7-passenger electric vehicle (LUXGEN EV+), a luxury executive transportation vehicle, (LUXGEN CEO) plus a luxury MPV (LUXGEN7 MPV) and a Luxury SUV (LUXGEN7 SUV).<\/p>\n

The LUXGEN brand was established by Taiwan’s Yulon Group by combining Taiwan’s highly advanced auto and IT industries. The “IT+AUTO+ET”, its core branding spirit, is what differentiates the LUXGEN brand to best illustrate Taiwan’s powerful R’&’D strength.<\/p>\n
