Dubai Sports Council (DSC) will organize the first women’s training course for the practice of modern sailing sport, in collaboration with Dubai International Marine Club & Dubai Ladies Club, aiming to boost the culture of the exercise of sport & physical activities among women in general and Emirati women in particular to maintain their activity & fitness.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The training course will take place on Monday 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0& Tuesday 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0July at Dubai Ladies Club’s premises, and will be lectured by Mr. Yousuf Khalid, the Leading Trainer in Dubai International Marine Club. The course’s schedule is as follows: Monday from 11:00 am to 01:00 pm \/ Tuesday from 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The course\u00a0is organized\u00a0<\/b>to increase women’s practice for marine sports in general & sailing sport in particular, and to provide them with unique opportunity to develop skills in these sports, as there are specialized clubs & fascinating beaches in Dubai. The course also qualifies women and makes them competent enough to participate in women’s marine sports championships, to be organized in the future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

DSC endeavors, through this course, to provide opportunities for Emirati women to experience new sports and attain variety in sports events & activities. DSC gives special consideration to women’s sport, as the Council’s annual agenda\u00a0comprises\u00a0organization of several women’s programs, championships & activities, which contribute to attracting of huge numbers of women to join these events,\u00a0starting\u00a0from girls in schools and up to female employees\u00a0& housewives. This strategy has therefore contributed to the\u00a0formation of wide base\u00a0of female athletes & to qualify them to become a source for the support of clubs & national teams to attain achievements & to win titles in various fields.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

DSC organizes several sports events & competitions; top of which is the Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament, which comprises 10 sports competitions and held with participation of more than 1500 female players. Other women sports competitions in DSC’s agenda also include Dubai Women’s Run \/ Al-Marmoom Women’s Cycling Race \/ Dubai Women’s Triathlon \/ Dubai Women’s Running Challenge, in which participants compete in four stages; held at the most eminent tourist landmarks in Dubai.<\/p>\n
