{"id":68856,"date":"2026-03-19T07:37:37","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T03:37:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/?p=68856"},"modified":"2026-03-19T07:37:37","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T03:37:37","slug":"damac-marks-ramadan-with-community-outreach-across-dubai-and-beyond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.dubaicityguide.com\/site\/damac-marks-ramadan-with-community-outreach-across-dubai-and-beyond\/","title":{"rendered":"DAMAC Marks Ramadan With Community Outreach Across Dubai And Beyond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hussain Sajwani-DAMAC Foundation, the philanthropic arm of DAMAC Group,the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaetoday.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UAE<\/a>-based global conglomerate, marked Ramadan with community outreach initiatives across Dubai and beyond, placing construction workers, families and vulnerable groups at the centre of its efforts during the Holy Month.<\/p>\n<p>At the start of Ramadan, the\u00a0Hussain Sajwani-DAMAC Foundation (HSDF)\u00a0announced\u00a0AED 100 million donation\u00a0to the\u00a0\u201cEdge of Life\u201d, a\u00a0humanitarian campaign\u00a0launched by H.H. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of <a href=\"https:\/\/dubaiverse.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dubai<\/a>, to rescue five million children from hunger worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside DAMAC\u2019s wider philanthropic commitments during the Holy Month, were several local initiatives. DAMAC also partnered with <strong>Dubai Charity Association<\/strong>\u00a0to support the wider community with iftars at\u00a0<strong>Al Salam Mosque in Al Barsha<\/strong>. Every day throughout Ramadan, more than\u00a0<strong>2,000 people<\/strong>\u00a0received meal boxes through an initiative dedicated to supporting the surrounding community. DAMAC employee volunteers also joined the effort on the ground, helping with packing, distribution, and sharing in the meal.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with Dubai\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)<\/strong>, DAMAC employee volunteers distributed Iftar meal boxes to thousands of w<strong>orkers<\/strong>\u00a0at major project sites. The initiative was designed to bring Ramadan directly to the people helping build the city, many of whom are spending the month away from their families.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hussain Sajwani, Founder and Chairman of the DAMAC Group<\/strong>, said:<br \/>\n\u201cAcross our construction sites and communities are thousands of people whose hard work helps shape Dubai every day. Taking the time to meet them and express our gratitude during Ramadan is important to us. It reflects the respect we have for their dignity and for the role they play in Dubai\u2019s continued progress. It is a privilege and honour for DAMAC to continue supporting the UAE community at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DAMAC has also strengthened its local community efforts through its collaboration with the\u00a0<strong>Dubai Club for People of Determination<\/strong>, Al Noor, Omniyat, Awladuna and Rashid Centres through student sponsorships, rehabilitation support, and community-facing programmes for People of Determination.
