A Bangladeshi national living in Bahrain has become the latest addition to the growing list of dollar millionaires after being announced as a winner in the Dubai<\/a> Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, held today at Dubai Duty Free Head office in Ramool.<\/p>\n

Mr. A.K Monirul Islam., a 52-year-old Bangladeshi national based in Manama, Bahrain became a US$1 million winner in Millennium Millionaire Series 539 with ticket number 4257 which he purchased online on18th March.<\/p>\n

A resident of Manama for the past 10 years, Mr. Islam has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for three years. He is a father of three and works as an office clerk at the Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain.<\/p>\n

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much Dubai Duty Free. Now, I can build my own house for my family in Bangladesh” he said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Islam is the third Bangladeshi to have won US$1 million in the Millennium Millionaire promotion since its inception in 1999.<\/p>\n

Today’s draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Managing Director, Ramesh Cidambi, Salah Tahlak, Deputy Managing Director, Dr. Bernard Creed, SVP – Finance, Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing, Mona A Ali, SVP – Human Resources, Michael Schmidt, SVP – Retail, Sharon Beecham, SVP – Purchasing, and Zayed Al Shebli, SVP – Asset Protection.<\/p>\n

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw for a luxury motorbike was conducted, with the rest of senior executive team joining in.<\/p>\n

Mr. Raja Ilyas, a 43-year-old Pakistani national based in Sialkot, Pakistan won an Aprilia RSV4 1100 (Black Yellow) motorbike with ticket number 0882 in the Finest Surprise Series 661, which he purchased online on 9th March<\/p>\n

A first-time ticket buyer, Mr. Ilyas is a father of five and works as a designer for a private company in Sialkot.<\/p>\n

“I can’t believe I won with my first ticket in your promotion. Thank you Dubai Duty Free!” he said.<\/p>\n
