Five plates accounted for the majority of sale proceeds in the session, which witnessed intense participation of registered bidders from various community segments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe proceeds of the 98<sup>th<\/sup> Open Auction, which topped AED19.918 million, is indicative of the remarkable attention of this sort of business activity organised by the RTA. Plate (W 22) was the sales topper fetching AED2.62 million followed by (T 32), which brought back AED1.68 million. Plate (T 88888) was sold for AED710 thousand, slightly ahead of (R 66666) exchanged for AED670 thousand. Plate (T 400) was knocked down at AED500 thousand. Other eye-catching plates on offer shared the remainder of the total revenues,\u201d said Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of RTA\u2019s Licensing Agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe number plate auctions held by RTA are transparent, full of zest and live up to the expectations of clients in this regard. They avail clients a prestige that forms part of their exclusive personalities.
