Fans eagerly anticipating the return of the ‘Major of the Middle East’ only have 30 days to go before the world’s top golfers arrive for the 30th edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. The surrounding scenery at Emirates Golf Club may have dramatically changed over 30 years, but the legendary status of the tournament remains the same.

Since 1989 when the European Tour first visited the Middle East, the tournament has seen 24 different winners from 13 different nations. 2018 saw China’s Haotong Li become the first Asian winner of the event with a record 23 under par score beating the previous lowest 72 hole score by one shot.

Some of the game’s greatest names will take on the pursuit of the Dallah Trophy, including World No. 5 Bryson DeChambeau and Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Tyrrell Hatton, Thorbjørn Olesen, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and 2018 Ryder Cup Team Europe Captain Thomas Bjørn.
