7 International Championships & 19 Local Sports Events To Take Place In Dubai During The Weekend With More Than 10 Thousand Participants
The Emirate of Dubai will host more than 10 thousand participants from UAE & overseas to participate in 26 various sports events; among which are seven international sports championships, taking place in various locations of the Emirate during the weekend in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council.
Top on the list of these international championships are: Dubai Masters International Championship for Free Wireless Flight, International CrossFit Championship for the Combat of Cancer and Dubai Muscle Beach.
The 3rd edition of Dubai Masters International Championship for Free Wireless Flight will be launched Friday 17th March at the Creek Park with participation of elite of racers, among them are 15 of the best international pilots in the world who will compete in the helicopter category including the flight with music harmony.
The International CrossFit Championship for the Combat of Cancer will take place Saturday 18th March at Dubai Harbor, where participants will contest throughout one hour & half. Participating teams will execute five various exercises, each exercise will continue for 10 minutes with a rest period of 20 minutes. Results attained by teams during each exercise will be recorded and compared to international racers from various cities of the world; the most eminent of which are London, Miami, Berlin & Paris. Contestants in this Championship will compete in four categories; these are: men’s teams, women’s teams, mixed teams & independents category. The Championship’s income is allocated for the support & finance of the Cancer researches Fund of Al-Jalila Foundation.
The 5th edition of Dubai Muscle Beach is organized by Universal Muscle Fitness Fashion Co. on 18th & 19th March at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort and it comprises several competitions such as: Dubai International Bodybuilding Championship, Fitness exercises besides other various sports activities, parts of which are the volley competition & the world competition of fitness & fashion for both genders. This Championship is held with participation of more than 500 participants and in the presence of over 2000 spectators. 15 world companies will also present some of the modern products, sports equipment & healthy food.
The 2nd UAE International Gymnastics Cup & Masterclass is scheduled on 18th & 19th March at Al-Nasr Sports Club, while Dubai International Equestrian Conference will take place from 17th to 19th March at Dubai World Trade Center.
The Hardcore International Boxing Championship is scheduled on 18th & 19th March at the Arena Agenda Hall in Dubai Media City. Contestants will compete in heavyweight category as follows: the American world champion Jarl Miller will bout vs. the Australian title’s holder Lucas Brown / the Irishman Juno Carroll, who is known as “King Kong” vs. the Colombian Miguel Mariaga / the Russian Soslan Asparov vs. the American Brandon Glanton / the Kyrgyzstan’s Samat Abdurahmanov vs. the Argentine Nicholas David Veron / the Russian Koresh Sagov vs. the Kyrgyzstan’s Ali Baluyev.
The BYB Extreme Boxing Championship for Men & Women will be held on Saturday at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Court with participation of boxers from America, Poland, Portugal, Armenia, Ireland, England, Croatia, Cameroon and Lebanon who will all compete in 10 various weights.
Dubai Sports Complex will host the Emirates Swimming Championship from 17th to 19th March with participation of more than 1000 male & female swimmers representing 50 clubs & academies from nine countries; these are: Hungary, Uganda, Egypt, Qatar, Sudan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Palestine in addition to UAE. Contestants will compete in various categories; parts of which are: 800 M freestyle, 400 M freestyle, 200 M butterfly, 400 M various swimming, 100 M breaststroke … etc. The competitions are organized in the morning from 08:30 am to 12:30 pm and during evening times from 05:00 pm to 06:30 pm.
Sigma A I B C A G S Conference for Electronic Games, which is taking place at the Festival Arena in Dubai Festival City, will be concluded today. The Rex Desert Mixed Boxing Championship will be launched at Dubai Festival City Promenade. Al-Mashreq Bank Electronic Sports Championship is scheduled at The Walk in JBR, while the second round of Dubai Fishing Championship will be held at Dubai International Marine Club. The Optimal White Color Boxing Championship will be held at Al-Habtoor Grand Resort in the JBR, and the DP World Cycling Championship will be arranged at Al-Qudra racetrack.
The Nakheel Half Marathon will take place at DX Bike, while the Cigna Run & Fitness will be held at Kite Beach, and Mai Dubai Community Run to be organized at Dubai Police Academy. The La Mer Swimming Race to be arranged at La Mer Beach, and the MENA Football Cup at the Jebel Ali Resort. The We Row for People of Determination will be held at Dubai Yacht and Sailing Club. The Emirates Weightlifting Cup is arranged at Al Ittihad Private School in Jumeirah. The Giant Duathlon will be held at Dubai Design District, and the Alpine Ski Race is scheduled at Ski Dubai. The Skechers Run to be organized at the Meydan Racecourse, and the cycling race against the clock will be held at the Endurance Track.
