The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has held a variety of events to celebrate the Mid-Shaaban Night, locally known as (Haq Allaylah). Several employees participated in the event, which is part of the norms of the UAE.

Haq Allaylah is still celebrated by Emirati families seeking to promote and embed the importance of this event in the conscience of youngsters with the aim of keeping this tradition over the long run.

Several traditional events were held to mark Haq Allaylah such as Henna corner, gifts, photography, traditional cuisines, popular games and folklore; which were well received by employees. Kids of RTA Nursery along with their mums also took part in celebrations where giveaways and sweets were presented. Providing a play corner for children contributed to promoting the atmosphere of fun. The festivity highlighted the importance of communication and instilling the value of celebrating Haq Allaylah in kids and mothers.

Female staffs took part in the event held by RTA Women Committee about (Processing of Perfumes) to enable employees to process here their favorite fragrance from a variety of mixed constituents provided in the workshop.

The RTA is keen to celebrate this event every year and organise superb events engaging all employees with the aim of enriching the true Emirati traditions & identity.
