Greatly loved and adored around the world for her kind heart and graceful charm, reigning Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray announced her excitement to be the cover girl for the September issue of Xpedition Middle East, the first home-grown Dubai-based luxury travel, lifestyle and fashion magazine. Seen on her fast-growing Instagram account with over 6 million followers, she wrote: “Hi Dubai! I’m so excited to be your cover girl for Xpedition Magazine for the month of September, see you on your side of the world soon!”

The reigning Miss Universe 2018 was spotted with the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Josh M. Yugen to a quick trip around New York City last June and gave an update about her life in The Big Apple and her advocacies, and shared how she’s handling her Miss Universe responsibilities and empowering women around the world in one of video interviews circulating online. “I assure you it’s one of the most genuine, most fun and most sensible interviews I ever had. Her laughter is both charming and contagious at the same time.” said Josh M. Yugen, owner and EIC of XPEDITION magazine, on his verified Facebook account. “Thank you to the biggest pageant in the world – Miss Universe Organization for making XPEDITION Middle East magazine the first-ever magazine in the Middle East to be granted an exclusive cover shoot and an in-depth feature for our Filipino pride.” added Josh M. Yugen.
After winning the Miss Universe crown in 2018, Catriona gained admiration from across the globe for her dedication towards her advocacies. Since being crowned, she has been at the forefront of various movements and causes focusing on children’s rights and well-being. She actively supports charity organizations like Young Focus and Love Yourself. She is also one of the ambassadors of Smile Train- the world’s leading cleft charity focused on providing medical aid to children with cleft lip and palate- along with international personalities, advocates and brands like Kylie Jenner, Lucy Hale, Miss Universe Organization and just recently announced Goodwill Ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa region, Josh M. Yugen.
In September, Xpedition Annual Gala Awards (XAGA), a charity event organized by Xpedition Middle East in benefit of Smile Train, is scheduled to happen in Dubai and will be the first-ever CSR event for the Dubai-based magazine. The event aims to raise awareness and funds to help provide surgeries to children with cleft lip and palate specifically in Egypt and Pakistan.

During one of the interview teasers released by the magazine, she was asked what’s next for our Queen, she replied, “I’m going to continue doing the work that I am doing, again a lot more travels around the world coming up, hoping to come over to your side of the world very soon…”

These statements and her latest post created an online buzz among her 6 million social media followers especially her Dubai-based fans and they already started to speculate about her possible arrival in Dubai to attend a charity ball soon.
