DLD To Hold International Real Estate Conference 2020 In Dubai
Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced its collaboration with the US National Association of Realtors (NAR) for holding the 2020 edition of International Real Estate Conference (IREC) in Dubai, in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai. This is the first-time IREC is being organised outside the US.
The announcement was made during DLD’s as participation at NAR 2019 Conference in San Francisco, with a high-level delegation, including Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Promotion and Real Estate Management Sector at DLD; Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Registration and Real Estate Services sector at DLD; and Hend Al Marri, CEO of the Dubai Real Estate institute (DREI). Making the announcement, as part of the agenda and the opening of the NAR, DLD invited all attendees to participate in the next edition of IREC and the Dubai Expo 2020.
IREC 2020 will be organised in collaboration with NAR, which has 1.2 million members from around the world. DLD will coordinate with several stakeholders, including Cityscape Global and Century 21 UAE, to ensure the success of the event that will be hosted in Dubai on 5 – 7 November at the Expo 2020 exhibition grounds. The next edition is expected to be the largest in the history of the conference and will attract a wide spectrum of leading experts, brokers, and developers as well as many financing companies and real estate professionals.
In conjunction with the conference, DLD’s delegation also visited the Asian Realtors Association of America (AREAA), which has approximately 37,000 members from 39 states and cities in the US and Canada. This visit was part of the agenda of the Promotion and Real Estate Investment Management Sector, which has already signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Association in 2018. It is notable that the first series of AREAA’s visits to Dubai began in January and March 2019.
Through its stand at the conference, DREI showcased its wide range of services and courses , that are provided to all those who are interested in Dubai’s real estate market. DREI’s representatives briefed visitors about Dubai’s real estate market and legislation through the Dubai International Property Consultant (DIPC) course and DREI’s efforts to spread real estate knowledge among different segments and qualify the youth to contribute to the development and sustainability of the real estate sector.
While in USA, DLD’s delegation also visited Florida Realtors’ forum that represents 187,000 members as part of a joint cooperation agreement signed with the Association at MIPIM 2019. One of the most prominent activities carried out by Florida Realtors in cooperation with Century 21 and DLD was the organisation of workshops in Orlando for real estate brokers, which resulted in a Dubai visit by 400 real estate brokers, during the last edition of Cityscape Global 2019.
In addition, DLD’s delegation visited a forum organised by the Nevada Association of Real Estate Brokers, which is expected to play an important role in organising IREC 2020 in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai, to help promote Dubai’s position as one of the most prominent global investment destinations.
