National Day festivities come to life with Global Village’s brand new Land of Peace & Tolerance Opperatta. Presented by Ornina Arts, this colourful performance represents Global Village’s spirit of peace, humanity, coexistence, and respect in the Year of Tolerance. The Operetta takes place across all three days of National Day celebrations and includes poetry, music, and dance.

Global Village will treat guests to a special appearance from beloved Emirati star Hamad Al Ameri from 9pm on Monday 2nd December. Presenting an inspiring live concert to honour the nation’s 48-year history, Hamad Al Ameri will grace the Main Stage along with his popular hits.

Emirati traditions meet new-age technology at Global Village for National Day with the introduction of a UAE light painting photography activation at the Global Village Celebration Walk. An immersive experience that combines photography, custom Arabic calligraphy, and visually appealing lights, unique Emirati light-based shapes will form around guests while they pose on the Celebration Walk.

The extensive range of entertainment and activities available at Global Village will be complemented by the addition of a fun-filled Kids Majlis at Celebration Walk, where younger guests can enjoy free face painting, henna painting, and balloon modellers.

Flogos or ‘foam balloons,’ will decorate the Global Village sky. Consisting of a stable mass of lighter-than-air soap bubbles with a mixture of helium and air, the Global Village National Day flogos will take the shape of six Emirati-centric designs including a camel, palm tree, dallah, falcon, the victory sign, and ‘UAE’.

Spectacular firework displays accompanied by music, in the colours of the UAE flag will light up Global Village from 10pm across all three days of the National Day period.  Emirati cultural shows will perform across the park in multiple locations reflecting the true culture of the UAE and representing the spirit of the union. The Global Village gates, screens, giant underwater LED screen, Wheel of the World screen, Carnaval area, and all Front Line employees will adorn the colours of the UAE flag to reiterate that Global Village truly is the best place to celebrate the occasion of National Day in 2019. Guests will also get the chance to celebrate with Global Village as the destination giveaway thousands of UAE flag shawls and flags to its guests as they walk in through its gates.

Global Village will extend its working hours until 1am from Saturday, 30th  November, until Monday, 2nd December, for in celebration of the UAE’s 48th National Day, and back to its normal operating hours on Tuesday, 3rd December, from 4pm until midnight.
