Women Riders World Relay Ends On A High Note At Atlantis, The Palm
Women Riders World Relay (WRWR), a global, year-long relay for female bikers, and the first of its kind to be fully managed by ladies for ladies, culminated at Atlantis, The Palm on February 1st with over 50 female bikers participating in the Dubai leg.
Over the course of a year, 80 global ambassadors representing 80 different countries came together in the world’s first GPS relay, with bikers carrying a baton across 79 countries before passing it to the final biker in Dubai – the 80th and final country on the route.
With the UAE being the only Arabic country participating, Tarabay Saab with over 100 Lady bikers and males’ supporters flew the flag high for the UAE. “We look at WRWR as a great opportunity to highlight Dubai as the multicultural diversity hub, which empowers women to practice any sports or hobby of their choice – including motorcycling. Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance, RTA, Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Sports council were key players in the planning of the event’, we are thankful for Dubai government, we worked closely together to embed the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to empower women in our society” said Tarabay.
Created to raise awareness of women across all spheres of motorcycling, Women Riders World Relay proved to be an exhilarating and empowering event.
