Once again Global Village has been recognised for its excellence in health and safety management – the world’s leading multicultural festival park improved its score as it achieved five stars in its health and safety rating for the second year running in the British Safety Council’s Five-Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit (OHS FSA).

The region’s first family destination for culture, shopping and entertainment, Global Village is the number one ranked entertainment destination globally for health and safety and has demonstrated an ongoing proactive commitment to excellence in this regard – achieving an increased score of 94.69% in the British Safety Council’s OHS FSA.

In November 2019 Global Village became the world’s first entertainment destination to be awarded with the prestigious British Safety Council ‘Sword of Honour’ achievement, following its first five star rating score of 92.82% which was given by the British Safety Council’s OHS FSA earlier in the same year.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of Global Village, said: “Global Village has an underlying commitment to providing world-class health and safety, and we are thrilled to receive a five star rating once again. With an improved audit score of nearly two per cent within the upper segment of ratings, we are global leaders in health and safety in our sector and our philosophy is to ensure optimum health and safety procedures are in place in every aspect of our operations.  We will continue to review our health and safety pillars so that we offer the safest environment and an exceptional experience for millions of guests.”

Lawrence Waterman, Chairman of the British Safety Council, said: “On behalf of the board of trustees and staff of the British Safety Council, I would like to congratulate Global Village on achieving the very highest standards of health and safety on consecutive occasions. Excellence at this level is only made possible through hard work and commitment, and Global Village continues to raise the benchmark of industry standards.”
