ENOC GroupcelebratedEmirati Women’s Day by hosting a webinar in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Farida Al Hosani, Executive Director of Infection Diseases Sector in Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre and the Official Spokesperson for Health Sector in the UAE, and Aisha Saeed Harib, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Community Development Authority.

The webinar celebrated the theme of Emirati Women’s Day this year – ‘Women: Ambitions & Inspiration for the Next 50 Years.’ Aiming to highlight the unlimited ambitions of Emirati women and their aspirations for a better and more prosperous future, Emirati Women’s Day 2021 pays tribute to the leadership’s support to empowering women.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC, said: “The UAE is one of the leading nations in the MENA at achieving and promoting gender equality, with women playing a vital role in building the community, economy and future of our county. As we mark the Emirati Women’s Day, we thank our visionary leaders for empowering women and strengthening their participation in all the sectors. Today we celebrate each Emirati woman and salute their contribution to families, the community and the nation.”

ENOC Group has established a Women’s Committee that aims to empower women within the Group and encourages their participation across the organisation’s various internal and external platforms. The Group also, organises national and international training and skill development programmes for Emirati women with the goal of nurturing women leaders in the energy sector. This includes an agreement with Al Maktoum College of Higher Education’s four-week multicultural leadership academic programme at the Scotland Summer School in Dundee.

ENOC Group has launched the inaugural ‘Women in Energy Award’ to celebrate the achievements of women who have shown exceptional leadership and have been catalysts for positive change.
