With the highly anticipated launch of Expo 2020 Dubai coming up fast, the Thailand Pavilion is building on the excitement by hosting a range of fun experiences at Little Bangkok in Dubai Media City.

Running from Wednesday, September 1st – 30th September 2021, Little Bangkok will present a series of mesmerizing projection-mapping concepts, starring the Pavilion’s mischievous mascots, Rak and Mali. Whilst enjoying a sumptuous meal, diners can watch in delight as the table in front of them comes to life and takes them on an immersive journey themed around fabulous adventures.

As well as providing an exclusive insight into the vast array of displays, performances and activities that await inside the Thailand Pavilion, the restaurant is also hosting competitions to win season passes to Expo 2020 Dubai (worth AED 495 per person), and fast-track tickets to the Thailand Pavilion. To take part, participants simply need to share a snap of one of the awe-inspiring projections on their social media tagging tag @littlebangkokuae and use #tasteofthai #expo2020dubaithailand on the eatery’s fabulous flavorsome plates.

Meanwhile, guests can also taste some of the authentic dishes that Little Bangkok will be serving inside the Thailand Pavilion. Spread across 160 sqm, on the first floor of the impressive structure and beautifully decorated in contemporary furnishings, A Taste of Thai by Little Bangkok will welcome up to 500 guests each day and is expected to have hosted over 100,000 by the end of Expo 2020.

Presenting some of the vibrant hotspot’s most popular recipes, families and friends can refuel and power their busy day of exploring with exceptional appetisers of spring rolls and chicken satay, delicious main courses such as Kang Keaw Wan (chicken or vegetarian green curry), Kang Massaman (the ‘king of curry’), and pad thai noodles, plus refreshing beverages like Thai iced tea and lemongrass Juice.

Mr. Kirdjakree Haemapun, CEO of the Culex Hospitality group and the founder of Little Bangkok, said: “Myself and my team are exceptionally proud to be the official restaurant of the Thailand Pavilion. We can’t wait to take Expo visitors on an unforgettable journey through the incredible cuisine and culture of Thailand, and help them create special memories. We’re also delighted to bring the colour and charm of the Pavilion to our branch at Media City, and help as many people as possible enjoy the magic of Expo 2020 Dubai by giving away 10 season passes and 100 fast track tickets. We’ll be revealing the full array of dishes that will be available inside the Pavilion once it has officially opened, but this will certainly give people an insight into what they can expect from Thailand’s exciting representation.”

This year, Thailand is presenting its biggest Expo Pavilion in 150 years. Visually striking in every sense, the Pavilion will be covered with 500 expertly crafted artificial Thai ‘good luck’ flowers, with each carefully interwoven to represent the nation’s continuous growth and development. Inside, visitors can learn all about the country’s economic plan to become one of the world’s leading digital destinations, and discover how it is building SMART Cities, including modern transport networks, eco-friendly resource management systems and low-energy, residential communities.

With a varied programme of performances and activations, the Thailand Pavilion is designed to enthrall families and friends of all ages.
