Dubai Healthcare City recently bared its plan to launch its Phase 2 expansion in Al Jadaf Dubai, envisioning the massive undertaking of creating the world’s largest wellness concept.

Dubbed as the WorldCare Wellness Village, this project will occupy an area that is equivalent to about 16 football fields, dwarfing similar counterparts in both the United States and Europe.

This project is fuelled largely by the growing demand of Dubai residents who are searching for services related to holistic and preventative care.

The WorldCare Wellness Village, a partnership between American and Dubai investors, plans to focus on the prevention and management of diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.

According to the management of the centre, over 100 healthcare and allied professionals are expected to provide diagnostic and treatment services as well as preventive care, including patient education and lifestyle change.

But the whole idea of creating a centre anchored upon the principle of preventive care is not a wholly new idea in the UAE.
