Following the #RoveAroundDeira tour, Rove City Centre is set to launch a photography exhibition on the 11^th March 2017 showcasing the images taken on the tour by photography enthusiasts. The exhibition will run throughout Dubai Art Week and aims to highlight some little known corners of the culturally rich Deira neighbourhood.

Rove Hotels have become well known for supporting locally-based artists by integrating their work into the interior design of the hotel. Whether it is within the focal art installation in each hotel called the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ or the artworks to be found throughout the hotel, it is clear that creativity forms part of the DNA of each hotel. At Rove City Centre, the inspiration comes for Dubai’s maritime heritage to be found within close proximity of the hotel’s location in Deira.

The #RoveAroundDeira tour was developed and hosted by cultural explorers Saleh Al Tamimi and Shaima Al Tamimi. The father daughter duo has developed a passion for old Dubai and are both keen photographers and advocates of exploring new and old places to uncover the stories, hidden gems, people, food and places that reflect the true spirit of a destination.

Following the tour, Rove Hotels are hosting the exhibition of photographs curated by Shaima Al Tamimi, taken during the tour by UAE residents. The exhibition includes a range of images capturing moments in the vibrant life of Deira’s old and winding streets, the vegetable and fish market and the creek. Visit the hotel between 11 and 25 March for a visual exploration of historical Old Dubai.
