Dish Ingredients Method
Perfect Homemade Pizza

(Sharing portion)

 

 

·       1 pack M&S pizza base mix

·       Flour to dust

·       25ml of olive oil

·       1 jar of M&S Classic Tomato Everything Sauce

·       1 ball of mozzarella

·       Fresh basil to serve

1.    Empty the mix into a bowl and add the olive oil. Gradually add 320ml warm water and mix until a dough is formed.

2.    Tip the dough on to a floured work surface and knead for 10-15 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

3.    Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let it rest for 1 hour until it is doubled in size.

4.    Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7. Dust your work surface with more flour, then take half the dough and roll it into a round shape of 30cm. Place on a greased baking sheet then spoon over half the tomato sauce and tear over half the mozzarella. Repeat with the other half of the dough and the remaining toppings.

5.    Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden and cooked through, then finish with some fresh basil leaves.

 

Frying Pan Choc-Chip Cookie

·       2 packs of M&S Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix

·       75g of softened unsalted butter

·       1 tub of M&S Salted Caramel Icing

·       Vanilla ice-cream to serve

·       Chocolate shardsto serve

 

1.    Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas mark 4.

2.    Line an ovenproof medium frying pan with greaseproof paper.

3.    Empty both sachets into a bowl, add the butter and the recommended amount of water according to the instructions on the pack. Mix them together to form a dough.

4.    Press the cookie dough into the pan, then bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden.

5.    While still warm from the oven, spoon over ice-cream and salted caramel icing.

6.    Finish with chocolate shards then dig in.

 

Burnt Basque Cheesecake

(Serves 6-8)

·       325g of full-fat cream cheese

·       130g of caster sugar

·       3 medium eggs

·       300ml of double cream

·       A pinch of salt

·       20g of plain flour, sieved

·       350g of strawberries, hulled and quartered

·       A handful of fresh basil leaves, sliced

·       1 tbsp of icing sugar

1.    Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7. Grease a high-sided 18cm round cake tin and line with greaseproof paper, ensuring the paper is twice as high as the tin.

2.    Either in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or using a wooden spoon, beat the cream cheese and caster sugar for 2 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Gradually pour in the double cream, mixing constantly. Fold in the salt and flour, then tip the mixture into the lined tin.

3.    Place on a baking tray and bake for 30-35 minutes. The top should be thoroughly caramelised, and the cheesecake should have a good wobble when very gently shaken. Allow to cool then place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.

4.    Combine the strawberries, basil and icing sugar. Remove the cheesecake from the fridge 30-40 minutes before serving.

5.    Slice and serve with the strawberries.
