Dubai Duty Free Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi along with Salah Tahlak, Joint COO, Sharon Beecham, SVP – Purchasing, Zayed Al Shebli, SVP – Loss Prevention & Corporate Security and Nana Kakihara conducted the draw for Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise promotion to win three luxury vehicles

Three luxury vehicle winners were announced in the latest Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw held today at Concourse D of Dubai International Airport.

 

Prior to the draw, a presentation to the previous Millennium Millionaire Series 451 winner was conducted.

 

Mrs. Nana Kakihara, a 30-year-old Japanese national based in Miyazaki, Japan, won US$1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 451 with ticket number 4429, which she purchased for the first time on February 13 on her way to Male, Maldives, for a honeymoon.

Mrs. Kakihara, who came with her husband, Yusuke, received the ceremonial cheque from Ramesh Cidambi, COO of Dubai Duty Free, along with Salah Tahlak, Joint COO, Sharon Beecham, SVP, Purchasing, and Zayed Al Shebli, SVP, Loss Prevention & Corporate Security.

 

Commenting on the presentation, Mrs. Kakihara said, “My husband and I are very happy to be here and meet the people behind our win. We are very grateful for this opportunity, so thank you so much Dubai Duty Free.”

 

Following the presentation, the draw for three luxury vehicles was conducted. Joining in the draw was Mrs. Kakihara.

 

Mr. Vinayak Dinesh Bhat, a 40-year-old Indian national based in Sharjah, won a Mercedes Benz S500 (Mojave Silver Metallic) car with ticket number 1354 in the Finest Surprise Series 1870, which he purchased on 17th February on his way to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a business trip.

 

A resident of Sharjah for 9 years and a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion since 2011, Mr. Bhat is a father of one and works as an IT manager for a leading print management solution company in Dubai.

 

Mr. Bhat shared the ticket cost with his colleague who was traveling with him at that time to Riyadh and persuaded him to try their luck buying tickets in the airport rather than online, on the recommendation of their colleagues who had previously won the same promotion.

 

“I’m happy to hear this good news. What an early gift for my birthday next week. Thank you Dubai Duty Free,” he said.

 

Meanwhile, Mr. R. Iqbal, an Indian national based in Dubai, won a BMW S 1000 R (Black Storm Metallic) motorbike with ticket number 0959 in the Finest Surprise Series 569, which he purchased on 15th February.

 

Mr. Iqbal is currently uncontactable, but will no doubt be delighted to learn of his win.

 

Lastly, Mr. Parkhat Abdulsalmov, a 41-year-old Kyrgyzstan national based in Bishkek won a BMW S 1000 RR (Racing Red) motorbike with ticket number 0617 in the Finest Surprise Series 570, which he purchased online on 17th February.

 

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for a year now, Mr. Abdulsalmov is a father of three and works as a sales manager for a food distributor company in Bishkek.

 

“Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this amazing win!” he said.

 

Mr. Abdulsalmov is the first Kyrgyzstan national to have won the Finest Surprise motorbike promotion since its inception in 2002.
