As the 2025 Dubai Airshow came to a close, a luxury car winner was announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise promotion at the draw held today at the Dubai Airshow site in Dubai World Central.

Mr. Matthijs Twigt, a 54-year-old Dutch national based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands became the proud owner of a BMW XM (Brooklyn Grey Metallic) car in the Finest Surprise Series 1940 with ticket 0569, which he purchased on 10th November in Concourse B.

A first-time ticket buyer, Mr. Twigt who’s been coming to Dubai 7 or 8 times in the past 2 years, purchased his lucky ticket on his way back to Rotterdam after spending a holiday in Dubai with sister. Mr. Twigt works as a manager for FMT Rotterdam consultant public transport.

“I can’t believe it! It’s an overwhelming surprise!” he said.

Today’s Finest Surprise draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free’s Deputy Managing Director, Salah Tahlak, Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing, Mohamad Al Khaja, VP – Retail Support, Salim Dahman, Senior Manager – Marketing, Khalid Saleh, Senior Manager – Loss Prevention & Corporate Security, and Nasser Al Jasmi, Senior Manager – Exchange Bureau.

The operation has a total of three luxury vehicles sharing the limelight with the latest aircraft at the Dubai Airshow and will conduct a draw over 3 days.
