Ski Dubai, in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, has officially opened registration for the highly anticipated 17th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, set to take place on Sunday, 20 September.

Recognised as Dubai’s coolest and most demanding obstacle course, the annual event transforms the indoor snow resort into a sub-zero proving ground designed to test the strength, agility, stamina, and mental resolve of participants from across the United Arab Emirates.

Welcoming fitness enthusiasts, endurance athletes, corporate groups, and families, the competition features a custom-built frozen track packed with more than 20 rigorous obstacles. Competitors will tackle a relentless sequence of physical tests, including scaling towering rope walls, diving through sub-zero ice pools, traversing overhead monkey bars, powering through heavy tyre runs, and navigating low-clearance net crawls across the snow.

The challenge is open to both male and female participants aged 15 to 60, offering structured entry categories tailored to varied levels of physical preparation:

• Elite Category (AED 280):Specifically designed for highly trained competitors and endurance athletes aiming to complete the entire high-intensity course in under 25 minutes.
• Individual Category (AED 250):An open division tailored for participants of all general fitness backgrounds seeking to challenge their personal limits in an extreme environment.
• Team Category (AED 200 per person):Open to squads of four to six members, encouraging strategic teamwork, camaraderie, and collective endurance—making it an ideal platform for friends, training partners, and corporate organisations.

Every participant who successfully completes the course and returns their electronic timing chip will be awarded a commemorative Ice Warrior medal alongside an exclusive souvenir finisher T-shirt.

Prospective competitors looking to test their endurance in the sub-zero snow dome can register online via the official Premier Online portal. Due to limited capacity across all competition heats, organisers encourage early registration ahead of the final deadline on Friday, 18 September.
