Allianz Trade Middle East Limited Expands With New DIFC Office
Allianz Trade, the world leader in Trade Credit Insurance, has strengthened its long-term commitment to the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Countries) with the opening of its new office at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The establishment at DIFC, the leading global financial centre in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, marks another strategic milestone in the company’s regional growth journey.
The relocation to DIFC Square follows the successful establishment of Allianz Trade Middle East Limited (ATME Ltd.), as a private company limited in DIFC. ATME Ltd is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and is licensed to conduct the financial services activity of “Insurance Management” in its registered office at DIFC. ATME Ltd acts on behalf of Euler Hermes Italy in respect of its reinsurance arrangements, working alongside trusted local fronting partners to deliver Trade Credit Insurance solutions across the region.
Spanning approximately 5,200 square feet, the new DIFC Square office has been designed with sustainability, innovation and employee wellbeing at its core. The fully branded, paperless workspace reflects Allianz Trade’s evolving ways of working and provides a modern, future-ready hub for its expanding regional operations. Across the GCC, Allianz Trade’s activities are supported by more than 70 employees across ATME Ltd. and designated fronting partners, reflecting the depth of expertise supporting businesses across the region.
Purpose-built to encourage collaboration, flexibility and high performance, the office has been designed to support both employee engagement and the company’s long-term growth ambitions. This commitment to creating an outstanding workplace has also been recognized externally, with ATME Ltd. receiving the prestigious Great Place to Work® certification for the period June 2026 to June 2027. The certification reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive and inspiring environment where employees can thrive and perform at their best.
Dario Locatelli, Senior Executive Officer of Allianz Trade Middle East Limited (ATME Ltd.), said: “Our new office at DIFC Square represents an important milestone in Allianz Trade’s continued growth in the GCC. More than a new workspace, it reflects the progress of our business, our continued investment in the region and our long-term ambitions. Establishing our new home within one of the world’s leading International Financial Centres further reinforces the strategic importance of the GCC to Allianz Trade. As we continue to grow, this new office reflects how we are evolving alongside the region, supporting greater collaboration, more sustainable and efficient ways of working, and our continued commitment to supporting businesses across the GCC.”
As the region’s only financial centre operating at scale across all financial services, DIFC is uniquely positioned to support the continued development of the global insurance and reinsurance industry, offering regulatory clarity, predictability, professionalism and an environment that fosters innovation.
Commenting on behalf of DIFC, Salmaan Jaffery, Chief Business Development Officer, DIFC Authority, said: “We congratulate Allianz Trade Middle East Limited on the opening of its new office at DIFC Square, marking an important step in expanding its trade credit insurance and risk management platform in the region. Allianz Trade’s decision to grow its DFSA‑regulated presence within DIFC reflects the strength of its global operating model and DIFC’s role as a hub for internationally regulated insurance, reinsurance and risk intelligence firms. Its expertise in supporting cross‑border trade, managing credit risk and partnering with regional insurers further strengthens DIFC’s insurance ecosystem, supporting businesses operating across the GCC and beyond.”
The new office is officially open at:
