Craving a sumptuous bowl of ramen filled with the freshest ingredients and a whole lot of love? Well, you are in luck. Cancel that flight to Japan and head to Wokyo, the hugely popular Tokyo-inspired noodle bar at JLT for their Sapporo Ramen Festival.
From 7th to 9th December, chefs at the popular eatery will be serving only the most authentic and delicious Sapporo Miso Ramen and Sapporo Shoyu Ramen daily supervised by none other than Master Ramen Chef Ishida who will be flying in from Japan especially to launch this new addition to the Wokyo menu.
Most Japanese associate the snowy Hokkaido city, Sapporo with its rich ramen history as Japanese ramen was invented there. Sapporo style ramen is different from the classic Japanese ramen as it is prepared in a wok. The Nishiyama ramen noodles are the jewels of the ramen which are made from pure melted snow water and local farmed wheat. The broth is the heart of the ramen, prepared with long hours of love and care. Whilst the toppings could be anything from fresh vegetables like Shiitake mushrooms and Chinese cabbage to succulent slices of meat, all cooked together in the wok, giving the ramen its distinct roasted and sizzling flavor.
