An Award-Winning Start To 2019 For Emirates SkyCargo
Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates has won a number of international accolades since the start of 2019, in recognition of the outstanding quality of the air cargo services it provides to its customers. The air cargo carrier consolidated its leadership position in the global air cargo industry by winning five prestigious awards.
Two years, Zero Temperature Excursions: SkyCell Quality Award
SkyCell, a leading pharma airfreight container provider, has named Emirates SkyCargo as the winner of the first SkyCell Quality Award for Safest Partner Airline in recognition of its exemplary performance for the transportation of temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals. SkyCell and Emirates SkyCargo have been cooperating for two years for pharma shipments across the globe without a single temperature excursion during joint transports. Since 2016, Emirates SkyCargo has moved pharma shipments on SkyCell containers across more than 30 global destinations without a single instance of temperature deviation. The achievement is an important validation of the investment in infrastructure and the processes that have been implemented by Emirates SkyCargo both at Dubai and across its network for the transportation of pharmaceuticals.
Best Air Cargo Carrier- Middle East – Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS)
Emirates SkyCargo was named the Best Air Cargo Carrier- Middle East in the 2019 edition of the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards held in Hong Kong. The awards are organised annually by Asia Cargo News and recognise leaders in the transport and logistics industry. The nomination and voting process for the awards were determined by the more than 15,000 readers of the publication. Emirates SkyCargo’s win is therefore a true reflection of the positive customer and market sentiments in the air cargo industry.
Diamond Award- Air Cargo Carrier- Air Cargo Excellence Awards
Earlier this year, Emirates SkyCargo was declared the winner of the Air Cargo Excellence Awards organised by Air Cargo World. The carrier was given the Diamond Award in the 1 million tonnes or more category. The awards were determined based on the ranking provided by more than 1,700 market participants in the air cargo industry and are based on a composite score of Customer Service, Performance and Value. The award highlights the success of the customer-focused approach undertaken by Emirates SkyCargo in the development of its specialised air transport products and offerings.
Best International Cargo Airline- Pinnacle Awards
For the fourth consecutive year, Emirates SkyCargo won the Best International Cargo Airline award organised by Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL). Over the last year Emirates transported over 22,000 tons of cargo from Bangalore to destinations across the world and top commodities flown include garments, engineering goods, temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, perishables and fresh produce. With three flights a day to the city on Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft offering a belly hold cargo capacity of up to 20 tons per flight, Emirates is an important contributor to the growth story of Bangalore International Airport and local businesses. Quality Awards Italy 2019
Emirates Skycargo also won two accolades at the “Quality Award Italy 2019”, organised by the IATA Airfreight Forwarders Association Italy (ANAMA). The Quality Award Italy recognizes the best performing organisations in the air cargo industry in Italy. The air cargo carrier was named Best Carrier in two categories: ‘Flown as Booked’ and ‘Customer Satisfaction’.
