I’m new to dubai. Can anyone tell me the popular spots here? (Including shopping malls, discotheques, tourist destinations etc..)
It would be great if you could also tell me how long it takes to get to that particular spot – I’m staying at Shangri-la hotel.

There are lots of exciting places:
Shopping Malls – Mall of the Emirates, Mercato Centre, Deira City Centre, Burjuman (All 15 mins from where you’re staying).
Discotheques – Club 400, Zinc, Peppermint club (They’re on your side of the service road).
Tourist Destinations – Check out the gold souq, the beach, Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah.
Have a great stay in Dxb. It’s a great place! You won’t be dissapointed.

i would like to tell you that dubai is a very nice place , there is a lot of places where you can go and enjoy your self such as
1 WILD WADI its about 15 minutes from your residense
2 SKI DUBAI its in the mall of emirates and it about 15 minutes as well
3 you can arrange for desert safari and they will pick you and drop you back to the hotel
