Barasti’s Hunt To Find Dubai’s Greatest Musician Comes To A Close As Four Finalists Go Head-To-Head In Beam Unplugged Final
Beam Unplugged – the month-long acoustic competition that has taken over Barasti’s House of Whatever throughout June is set to host the final, this Tuesday 2 July.
Throughout June, undiscovered musicians have been battling it out through four challenging rounds on the Barasti stage in front of three industry judges in a quest to take home the grand prize – the chance to win residency for the month of September at Dubai’s favourite beach bar and live music venue, plus a bar tab of AED 1,000 to celebrate the win with friends.
The Beam Unplugged competition aims to shine a light on the region’s greatest local music artists and give talented players the opportunity to show off their skills at one of the most renowned music venues in Dubai.
From 12 contestants, only 4 remain. Elijah Semine, Abdalla Hesham, Eimaan, and The Stone Route Band will compete in the final this Tuesday 2 July in what is set to be the ultimate acoustic sing-off!
The finalists will be performing one song of their choice and their own rendition of Britney Spears’ “Oops I did it Again” – a strategic twist to the mechanics for the final aimed to test their abilities beyond their personal music style.
The Beam Unplugged final will run from 9pm to 10pm but be sure to get down to Barasti early to take advantage of some incredible drink offers.
Mark your diaries and prepare to cheer on your favourite act, who will ultimately land a gig as Barasti resident and take the stage that has previously welcomed the likes of Fatman Scoop, Nicky Romero, Benny Benassi, and most recently, R&B superstar Craig David!
Need even more reason to head to Barasti this Tuesday? In true House of Whatever style, there will also be some incredible prizes up for grabs on the night, including an all-expenses paid trip for two to Beirut, including two tickets to Jim Beam Rocks music festival. To be in the draw to win this epic prize, get a blind tattoo and enter the draw – and don’t worry, it’s only temporary!
